Riches

Riches: Redefined

We are all after things like security, status, power, hope… things that we believe will bring value to our life. The Gospel declares that these things aren’t bad in themselves, but they are only truly defined and to be found “in Christ”.

Reflection Points:

  • Will your social status last forever? Will your portfolio only increase? Will your beauty never fade?
  • What things do you look for security in? Are they eternal? If not, can they really be called “riches”?
  • How do you feel compelled to respond to the facts that God’s love for you is eternal, not based on anything that you have done or will do (either good or bad) but on Jesus, and “In Jesus” you have all the riches of the gospel that death itself can’t even separate you from…?
