Sunday Rhythm | June 5, 2011

May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you! Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon earth. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you! The earth has yielded its increase; God, our God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; let all the ends of the earth fear him!
Psalm 67:1-7

This Sunday, pastor and Japanese church planter Dan Iverson will be joining is in our Sunday gathering. Dan is the Japan director for Mission to the World, and will be speaking on missions from Matthew 8:1-13. As you pray this week, pray for our Sunday services, and that the Holy Spirit would continue to work in us and preserve us, and that God’s grace would continue to be on display in our corporate gatherings. Pray that our hearts would truly be captured to proclaim the gospel not only to Richmond, but to the nations as well.

As our Sunday Rhythm is a “re-presentation” of the gospel, here are the songs that we will be singing together in worship as we extol, embrace, and share the story of the progress of the gospel in our lives:

  • Praise to the Lord, the Almighty by Joachim Neander and Catherine Winkworth. This will be our next Partnering to Remember: Hymns song. Stay tuned for a new recording from Redemption Hill Music.
  • In the Shadow of the Glorious Cross by Rebecca Elliott and Brooks Ritter.
  • Majesty by Stuart Garrard and Martin Smith.
  • Come Boldly to the Throne of Grace by D. Herbert, Brian T. Murphy, and Clint Wells.
  • Stronger by Ben Fielding and Reuben Morgan.
  • The songs that we will be singing in the RH Kids K-4 Music and Mission Gathering this Sunday will include:

  • Jesus Came to Save Sinners by Isaac Wimberley and Jeff Caps. You can download the entire The Village Kids album Jesus Came to Save Sinners for FREE by clicking here.
  • Praise to the Lord, the Almighty by Joachim Neander and Catherine Winkworth. This will be our next Partnering to Remember: Hymns song. Stay tuned for a new recording from Redemption Hill Music.
