Sunday Rhythm | May 29, 2011

The LORD looks down from heaven; he sees all the children of man; from where he sits enthroned he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, he who fashions the hearts of them all and observes all their deeds. The king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength. The war horse is a false hope for salvation, and by its great might it cannot rescue. Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love, that he may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name. Let your steadfast love, O LORD, be upon us, even as we hope in you. – Psalm 33:13-22

This Sunday, Pastor Robert will be continuing with our sermon series on The Book of Acts: Enjoying God and Engaging His Mission. The text will be taken from Acts 20:1-12. As you pray this week, pray for our Sunday services, and that the Holy Spirit would continue to work in us and preserve us, and that God’s grace would continue to be on display in our corporate gatherings.

The songs that we will be singing together this Sunday will include:

  • Glorious and Mighty by Bob Kauflin, Joel Sczebel, and Todd Twining. This is a new song to our Sunday gatherings, so be sure and grab a recording and listen to it before Sunday.
  • Highest by Reuben Morgan.
  • How Deep the Father’s Love for Us by Stuart Townend.
  • Rock of Ages by Augustus Montague Toplady and Thomas Hastings. Be sure and check out the Redemption Hill recording of Rock of Ages!
  • When I Survey the Wondrous Cross by Lowell Mason and Isaac Watts
  • The songs that we will be singing in the RH Kids K-4 Music and Mission Gathering this Sunday will include:

  • God is Good by Isaac Wimberley and Jeff Caps. You can download the entire The Village Kids album Jesus Came to Save Sinners for FREE by clicking here.
  • Rock of Ages by Augustus Montague Toplady and Thomas Hastings. You can download a FREE mp3 of the Redemption Hill recording of Rock of Ages by clicking here!
  • I Love You Lord by Laurie Klein
  • Continue to check out our blog series on the rhythm, or order, of our Sunday gatherings. We concluded the first part of our service last week entitled: God Call His People to Worship. This week, we move into the time of the service we have entitled: God Speaks to His People Through His Word. We believe that the Bible is the means by which God graciously reveals Himself to His people, so each week, we take the time to listen, read, and study it with expectant hearts.
