Sunday Rhythm | November 20, 2011

This Sunday, Robert Greene will be concluding our sermon series based on the Nicene Creed entitled The Real God for the Real World. He will be preaching on The hope of the Spirit for a hopeless world. If you missed last weeks sermon on The community of the Spirit for a lonely world, you can listen to it here.

Here are the songs that we will sing together this week:

  • A Mighty Fortress Is Our God by Frederick Hedge and Martin Luther. This is our last Partnering to Remember: Hymn. You can download a FREE recording of the hymn at Redemption Hill Music. This week we will be focusing on Verse 4:
  • That word above all earthly powers, no thanks to them, abideth
The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him Who with us sideth
Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also
The body they may kill: God’s truth abideth still
    His kingdom is forever

  • Made Me Glad by Miriam Webster.
  • Knowing You by Graham Kendrick.
  • Death In His Grave by John Mark McMillan. You can read more about this song and why we sing it, including commentary from the composer, by clicking here.
  • Agnus Dei by Michael W. Smith.
  • See you Sunday!
