Sunday Rhythm | September 18, 2011

Declare and present your case; let them take counsel together! Who told this long ago? Who declared it of old? Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no other god besides me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none besides me. “Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone out in righteousness a word that shall not return: ‘To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear allegiance.’ – Isaiah 45:21-23

This Sunday, Robert Greene will be continuing in our new sermon series based on the Nicene Creed entitled The Real God for the Real World. He will be preaching on The triune God for a fragmented world. If you missed last weeks introduction to the series, you can listen to it here. We are also still in need of volunteers to serve in our two (2) Sunday gatherings. Please prayerfully consider signing up to serve. You can do so by clicking here.

Lastly, if you are still looking for your Community at Redemption Hill, you will have another opportunity after each service this Sunday to meet the Communities and the leaders at our Community Link. Grouped by region, you’ll have 15 minutes to get to know the people, their particular mission, and how they hope to live out the gospel. For a current listing of our Communities and their weekly gatherings, click here. Continue to thank God for the generous grace he has bestowed upon us here at Redemption Hill. Continue to pray for all the operations and logistics surrounding our recent move to two services, and that the love of God through Christ would be magnified in those details. Pray that the supremacy of Christ will be manifest to all on Sunday, and that God will be our all in all.

Here are the songs that we will sing together this week:

  • How Great Thou Art by Stuart Wesley Keene Hine.
  • Psalm 116 by Isaac Watts, Zachary Banister, and Shelby T. Murphy. This is a new original song that will be making its premiere this Sunday. The lyrics are by Isaac Watts from his rendering of Psalm 116 in Psalms and Hymns. This song will be included on a future release from Redemption Hill Music that features many of the original songs we sing each week.
  • The Solid Rock by William Batchelder Bradbury and Edward Mote. You can download a FREE recording of the hymn at Redemption Hill Music. This week we will be focusing on Verse 3:
  • His oath, His covenant, and blood
    Support me in the whelming flood;
    When every earthly prop gives way
    He then is all my Hope and Stay

  • Just Give Me Jesus by Zachary Banister.
  • The songs that we will be singing in the RH Kids K-4 Music and Mission Gathering this Sunday will include:

    See you Sunday!
