Sunday Rhythm | September 4, 2011

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness, and the peoples in his faithfulness. – Psalm 96:11-13

Next Sunday, September, September 11, in addition to going to two services, we will be beginning a new sermon series based on the Nicene Creed entitled The Real God for the Real World. This Sunday, Raymond Goodlett will be preaching out of 2 Timothy 3:1-4:5, and the title of his sermon will be The Word of God for a Confused World: Before We Can Say, “We Believe…”. If you have not already volunteered to serve in our Sunday gatherings, you can sign up to do so here. Continue to pray for all the operations and logistics surrounding our move to two services, and that the love of God through Christ would be magnified in those details. Pray that the supremacy of Christ will be manifest to all on Sunday, and that God will be our all in all, even in the midst of earthquakes and hurricanes.

Here are the songs that we will sing together this week:

  • Glorious and Mighty by Bob Kauflin, Joel Sczebel, and Todd Twining. You can read more about this song and why we do it by clicking here.
  • How Great Thou Art by Stuart Wesley Keene Hine.
  • Stronger by Ben Fielding and Reuben Morgan. You can read more about this song and why we do it by clicking here.
  • The Solid Rock by William Batchelder Bradbury and Edward Mote. This is our next Partnering to Remember: Hymn song. You will be able to download a FREE recording of the hymn at Redemption Hill Music early next week. This week we will be focusing on Verse 1:
  • My hope is built on nothing less
    Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly lean on Jesus’ Name

  • Revelation Song by Jennie Lee Riddle.
  • The songs that we will be singing in the RH Kids K-4 Music and Mission Gathering this Sunday will include:

    See you Sunday!
