What I’m Reading This Summer with Nic Clinch

Concluding our What I’m Reading This Summer series, today we hear from Nic Clinch. Among other things, three books Nic has been reading this summer are:

Orphanology: Awakening to Gospel-Centered Adoption and Orphan Care by Tony Merida and Rick Morton
We are reading this to understand adoption, and to find ways to move forward with the adoption process. We know that God has children for our family that won’t come by us birthing them, and we hope to walk away from this book with a right understanding of why we feel a desire to adopt, and a grasp on how we will go about it.

The Core: Teaching Your Child the Foundations of Classical Education by Leigh A. Bortins
Because it is never too soon to start training your children up in righteousness. We desire to home school and want to round out our limited understanding with some info that has worked for others. Also, because life is spent learning, I want to relearn and challenge my learning/teaching methodology.

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
Because all work and no play makes Nic a dull boy. We want to prep for the upcoming movie, and we need a new book to read to the boys.

Nic is a member of Redemption Hill Church in Richmond, Virginia, and is the husband of one Megan, and father of one Elijah and one Obadiah. He is fond of books (physical), music, and time with family and friends. He and his wife can be found in the Church Hill 1 Community of Redemption Hill. Say “Hi” next time you see him, he would love to meet you!
