What is your role at Redemption Hill?
What is your prayer / hope for Redemption Hill?
My prayer is that Redemption Hill would be a place where people always hear the incredible good news of Jesus life, death, and resurrection on our behalf and that this Gospel message will continue to impact our hearts. My hope is that this message is not just preached faithfully on a Sunday mornings, but that it transforms our relationships as we live in community with one another and among a world that desperately needs to experience the joy and redemption found in Jesus.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage to say “no” to other things. The enemy of the “best” is often the “good”.
What are your favorite books and movies?
The Christopher Nolan Batman Trilogy, Gladiator, The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, Putting Amazing back into Grace by Michael Horton, The Reason for God by Tim Keller. Pretty much anything by John Grisham.
What are you listening to these days?
I have a pretty random list of things that I cycle through on Spotify but recently Switchfoot, Coldplay, Mat Kearney, M83, Bon Iver, Page CXVI, The Village Church
What can you be caught doing on your day off?
Playing golf, grilling in the backyard while hanging out with family and friends, watching sports or procrastinating on my household to do list.
What is something that people would be surprised to know about you?
I proposed to my wife outside Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France. It’s always fun to see pictures or movies and know I actually pulled off an incredible proposal in a classic location and best of all she said yes! Also, I’ve spent nearly a year abroad in various countries (India, South Africa, Niger to name a few).
