2015 Summer Dinner Series

Summer brings a host of welcome changes. With schedules that are more flexible, many of us can afford to spend more time outdoors, and doing things that we enjoy with friends, family, and neighbors. So it is only natural that our rhythm as the church changes as well. To capitalize on this, we are once again hosting a Summer Dinner Series on Wednesday nights, July 8th to August 12th. Join us as EAT, GROW, and CONNECT around this Summer’s theme of Disciples: Instruments in the Redeemer’s Hands.

Jesus was no stranger to a good meal, whether it was with the faithful, or not-so-faithful. He showed us that meals together demonstrate the grace that God extends to us! During our Summer Dinner Series at The Fourhundred, you will be able to enjoy the convenience of a catered dinner. Dinner will be $5 per person, with a $20 max per family.

Speaking the truth…the whole body builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. – Ephesians 4:15-16

Immediately after dinner each Wednesday, we will all come together to hear God’s Word and wisdom to us as we look at what it means to live out our identity as Jesus’ Disciples. Specifically, how can every Christian take seriously the opportunity and responsibility to speak the truth to one another. Paul Tripp writes:

“Christ has given his church leaders to equip each member to join in God’s work of personal transformation. Though our histories, personalities, abilities, and maturity levels differ, each of us has been gifted, called, and positioned to do our part.”

This summer, together we’ll discover:

  • How the Gospel Changes Our Hearts
  • How to Love | Entering into Someone Else’s World
  • How to Know | Getting Below the Surface
  • How to Speak | What Does God Want Them to See?
  • What to Do | Helping them Respond

Jason HsiehOur Summer Dinner Series sessions will be taught by Jason Hsieh of Heart Song Counseling. Jason serves as a member of Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington D.C., and as a Counselor-in-Residence with Redemption Hill Church. We are excited to partner with Jason and Heart Song to strengthen our biblical counseling, both through individual sessions and classes such as the Summer Dinner Series.

Summer Beta Community
What does it mean to be a gospel community on mission? Join folks new to Redemption Hill Church for our next Beta Community, which will run concurrently with the main Summer Dinner Series sessions. During these six weeks, you’ll be able to “field-test” the way the gospel shapes our community as we focus on the big ideas we hope to embody: gospel-centered, grace-driven, and mission-minded. The hope is that that after the Beta experience, everyone involved will become part of a new or existing Community.

Student Communities
Middle (rising 5th – 8th graders) and High School (rising 9th – 12th graders) Communities will be gathering to build friendships and be equipped to help bring change into the lives of their peers.

Tyler has chemo on Wednesday and if he is feeling well enough we plan to be there for the Beta Community. I have tried to send this several times and get an error message because I did not enter my email for a second time.

We’ll be attending tonight as well and I’m having the same problem as everyone else trying to RSVP. There will be 7 of us. Jayden (10) will be attending the middle school community and I’m pretty sure only 2 of my girls, Selah (6) and Brie (3) will need childcare. Amaya will likely stay with us.

Looking forward to it!

We apologize for the late notice, but unfortunately we won’t be having a separate High School gathering during the Summer Dinner Series. Students are welcome to join in the main gathering in the sanctuary.

For Middle Schoolers, there will be no separate gathering for the first two Wednesday nights. Students are welcome to join their parents in the sanctuary. We WILL have a separate Middle School gathering weeks 3, 4, 5 and 6.

We WILL have programs available for nursery through rising 4th graders.
