Community Bible Reading

Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. – Psalm 90:14

Community Bible Reading (CBR) is the daily practice of reading one Old Testament chapter and one New Testament chapter every day as a community. The Community Bible Reading plan allows participants to read through the New Testament once every year and the Old Testament once every three years. We need to meet with God and be fed by him through his word every day of our lives. But even more than this, God’s Word tells us that God is delighted to graciously satisfy our deepest desire with the steadfast love of his gospel each and every morning. Our prayer is that God, in his grace, would use Community Bible Reading to feed and satisfy the people of Redemption Hill.

Community Bible Reading Journal

CBRThe CBR Journal provides a helpful framework for us to engage God’s word through journaling, praying, and conversation together as a gospel community. It is a tool designed to encourage the growth of believers in a lifestyle of receiving daily nourishment from God’s Word. It helps develop, or continue, the discipline of reading God’s Word for the purpose of knowing Jesus, and engaging in community interaction throughout the day. The journal includes a reading plan for the 2021/2022 calendar year, and includes each day to write your reflections and prayers, as well as specific truths you may want to share with your friends to encourage them and point them to Jesus. Feel free to pick up a FREE copy of the journal on Sunday mornings at The Fourhundred. This is our gift to you! However, if you would like to help us offset the costs associated with printing the journals, feel free to drop $10 in the offering box on Sunday morning. If you wanted to pay by check, make it out to “Redemption Hill Church,” and write “CBR Journal” on the Memo line.

You can also pay for your CBR Journal online:

Since many at Redemption Hill Church are participating in Community Bible Reading, we are able to connect more deeply with each other as we compare notes and encourage one another! Use the hashtag #RHcbr to share what the Lord is showing you from His Word each day.
