Who has believed what he has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. – Isaiah 53:1, 4-5
According to Mark
We hope that you can join us for both Good Friday and Easter Sunday this week, as we conclude the season of Lent, culminating in the death and resurrection of our savior, Jesus Christ. This Easter Sunday, at all three services (9:00 at Holton, 10:00 at The Fourhundred, 11:00 at Holton), Chris DeRoco and Raymond Goodlett will continue in our series According to Mark. Their text will be Mark 4:35-41. If you missed last weeks look at Mark 4:1-20, you can listen here. Lastly, the artwork for According to Mark is by Redemption Hill Church member Duncan Robertson. Please take some time the next few days to pray for these upcoming gatherings. That many unbelievers would hear about the good news of Jesus and be changed. Pray that we would come prepared to expressively worship God together through the songs we sing, the prayers we pray, the scriptures we read, and the communion we partake in.
Here are some of the songs that we’ll sing together this week:
- See the Conqueror Mounts in Triumph by Christopher Wordsworth, Jennifer Somers, Tyler Somers, and Mitch Dane.
- Rejoice by Dustin Kensrue.
- There Is A Fountain Filled With Blood by William Cowper. You can read more about this song here
- It Is Finished by Matt Papa.
- Before the Throne of God Above by Charitie Lees Bancroft and Vikki Cook.
- The Power of the Cross by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend.
- The Reward of His Suffering by Matt Papa. You can read more about this song here.
See you Sunday!
