Cotten Family Porchrait

This shutdown/quarantine has certainly brought a lot of changes to our family, some pleasant and some we would definitely not choose. It has been a challenge mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We can see God at work in our hearts, drawing us to Him. It has been a great exercise in humility to see the pride we have had in ourselves and in other areas of life that have now been taken away. God has been using this time to help us live our faith, not just speak our faith.

Working for a small business has brought a lot of uncertainty and stress both for the present and for the future. We are so thankful for God’s grace and care for us. He has proven over and over again that He will sustain us, He will never leave us, and He will care for us in ways we never expected.

Our kids have handled this quarantine so well. Of course they miss their friends, teachers and school. We are thankful for technology to help them stay connected with people outside of our home. Being home together all day, everyday, has helped the friendship of our girls blossom. It is such a joy to watch!
