Lesson Review – 1 Timothy 3:1-7 – Character Counts

Parents,

Here are some review notes from this week’s lesson in our preschool and K-4 classes. This week we studied 1 Timothy 3:1-7 – Character Counts. This is lesson 70 of 78 in our study of the New Testament. This lesson corresponds with Story 148 in The Gospel Story Bible and with Week 70 of the Old Story New family devotional.

Gospel Truth for Today

Our good works do not commend us to God, Jesus’ good works do.

The Lesson In A Sentence (or Two)

Because he loves his Church, Jesus wants pastors lives’ to show a character that reflects his character. In his letter to Timothy, the
apostle Paul explains the characteristics that should mark the pastors of the church.
