Lesson Review – Acts 28:11-31 – Paul in Chains

Here are some review notes from this week’s lesson in our preschool and K-4 classes. This week we studied Acts 28:11-31 – Paul in Chains

This is lesson 61 of 78 in our study of the New Testament. This lesson corresponds with Story 139 in The Gospel Story Bible and with Week 57 of the Old Story New family devotional.

Gospel Truth for Today

The offer of salvation by grace through faith is for all people and nothing can stop the advance of the gospel.

The Lesson In A Sentence (or Two)

Though Paul was arrested for telling people the good news of Jesus, he continued to faithfully proclaim the gospel to everyone he met everywhere he went.

Questions for Discussion

1. Why was Paul arrested?

While in Jerusalem, Paul told people the good news of Jesus (the gospel) and it caused so much of an uproar that he was arrested.

2. After being arrested, where did Paul eventually get sent?

He was sent to Rome.

3. Even though he was under arrest, what did Paul do while he was in Rome?

He continued to tell people the good news of Jesus.

4. I bet the people who had Paul arrested though that if he was in jail they would stop his message about Jesus from continuing. Did it? Is there anything that can stop the good news of Jesus from advancing in all the world?

No. Nothing can stop the advancement of the gospel in all the world.

Praying together –Take time to pray with your child, asking God to help those suffering persecution for their love of the gospel and that God would use you to take the good news of Jesus to those who need to hear.
