Sunday Rhythm | February 20, 2022

Welcome to the Sunday morning rhythm of Redemption Hill Church. If this is your first time “joining” us, please let us know by filling out this online form.

Call to Worship

From Psalm 96 and 145
Sing a new song to the Lord. Redemption Hill! Let the whole earth sing to the Lord! We will exalt you, our God and King, and praise your name forever and ever. Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness. Sing to the Lord Redemption Hill; praise his name. Each day proclaim the good news that he saves. The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness. The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.

Confession and Assurance

Philippians 2:1-11
Jesus, we belong to you. You have given us comfort with your love. You have given us fellowship together in Your Spirit. Yet we often think only of ourselves. We so often pursue our own hidden desires and become obsessed with impressing others. We think that we are more important than others. We look out for our own interests before helping others. Instead of seeking your face, we seek or own gain. Jesus, give us the same attitude that you have: Teach us to give up our privileges. Teach us to take positions of humility. Teach us to be obedient to God, even if it means our loss, until every tongue declares that Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God the Father, Amen.

Genesis 1-3

This Sunday, Robert Greene will continue in our new sermon series on Genesis 1-3.

Benediction

‭‭Philippians 3:7-8
Redemption Hill, whatever gain we had, we count as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, we count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord. For his sake we have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that we may gain Christ.
