Call to Worship

Psalm 13:1-6
O Lord, how long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way? How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day? How long will my enemy have the upper hand? Turn and answer me, O Lord my God! Restore the sparkle to my eyes, or I will die. Don’t let my enemies gloat, saying, “We have defeated him!” Don’t let them rejoice at my downfall. But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me.

Confession

From Psalm 1:1, 57:1, 139
Father, I need your constant protection in this life. When times are hard, when trouble surrounds me,  I want to live in the shadow of your wing. Forgive me for embracing the lies of the evil one, for taking my seat in darkness, and following in the path of sin, I cannot live without you. Nor can I face tomorrow without the promise of your presence. Today I seek to live under your protection, my Lord Most High. The cross of Chris before me, the cross of Christ behind me, the cross of christ over all things, a perfect sign. And blessing to my soul. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Assurance of Pardon

1 Corinthians 10:12-13, Psalm 46:1
So, whoever thinks he stands must be careful not to fall. No temptation has come upon you except what is common to humanity. But God is faithful; he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to bear it. God is our refuge and strength, a helper who is always found in times of trouble.

Genesis 1-3

This Sunday, Robert Greene will continue in our sermon series on Genesis 1-3.

Benediction

‭‭1 John 2:15-17
Redemption Hill, do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. This world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.
