O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger. When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field, the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas. O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
Psalm 8:1-9
This Sunday, Pastor Raymond will be continuing with our sermon series on The Book of Acts: Enjoying God and Engaging His Mission. The text will be taken from Acts 22:23-23:11, and the title is Paul: Roman Citizen, Pharisee, Follower of Christ. As you prepare for Sunday, continue to pray for Robert and Erin Green, as they are expecting a new addition to their family anytime now. Also, pray for our Sunday gathering as we sing together, take communion together, pray together, fill the giving boxes (for those of you who don’t give online), greet each other, and read scripture together. These things are all acts of worship, built into the rhythm of our service to make sure that we go through a full range of gospel reflection and proclamation together each Sunday.
Here are the songs that we will sing together this week:
- O Worship the King by Robert Grant and Johann Michael Haydn.
- Highest by Reuben Morgan.
- O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing by Charles Wesley and Lowell Mason. Go to Redemption Hill Music for a FREE recording of the hymn. This week we will be focusing on Verse 3:
- How Marvelous (I Stand Amazed) by Charles Hutchison Gabriel and Chris Tomlin.
- My Savior Lives by Jon Egan and Glenn Packiam.
He speaks, and, listening to His voice, new life the dead receive
His spirit leads us to the choice, and brings us to believe
The songs that we will be singing in the RH Kids K-4 Music and Mission Gathering this Sunday will include:
- God Wants to Talk With Us by Isaac Wimberley. You can download the entire The Village Kids album Jesus Came to Save Sinners for FREE by clicking here.
- O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing by Charles Wesley and Lowell Mason. Go to Redemption Hill Music for a FREE recording of the hymn.
