Call to Worship
Psalm 29:9-11
The voice of the Lord twists mighty oaks and strips the forests bare. In his Temple everyone shouts, “Glory!” The Lord rules over the floodwaters. The Lord reigns as king forever. The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.
- It’s Good to Know Jesus by Franklin Williams.
- Glorify Your Name by Kevin Singleton.
Confession
1 Corinthians 10:1-6
I don’t want you to forget, dear brothers and sisters, about our ancestors in the wilderness long ago. All of them were guided by a cloud that moved ahead of them, and all of them walked through the sea on dry ground. In the cloud and in the sea, all of them were baptized as followers of Moses. All of them ate the same spiritual food, and all of them drank the same spiritual water. For they drank from the spiritual rock that traveled with them, and that rock was Christ. Yet God was not pleased with most of them, and their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. These things happened as a warning to us, so that we would not crave evil things as they did, or worship idols as some of them did.
- His Mercy Is More by Matt Boswell and Matt Papa.
Genesis 1-3
This Sunday, Robert Greene will continue in our sermon series on Genesis 1-3.
- My Jesus, I Love Thee by William R. Featherston and Adoniram Judson Gordon.
- Our God Reigns Forever by B.J. Putnam and Israel Houghton.
Benediction
2 Peter 1:5-8
Make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone. The more we grow like this, the more productive and useful we will be in our knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
