Call to Worship

Psalm 146:1-10
Praise the Lord Redemption Hill! Let all that you are praise the Lord. We will praise the Lord as long as we live. We will sing praises to our God with our dying breath. Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them. But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God. He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever. He gives justice to the oppressed and food to the hungry. The Lord frees the prisoners. The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly. The Lord protects the foreigners among us. He cares for the orphans and widows, but he frustrates the plans of the wicked. The Lord will reign forever. He will be our God throughout the generations. Praise the Lord!

James 4:1-3
What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you? We want what we don’t have, so we scheme and kill to get it. We are jealous of what others have, but we can’t get it, so we fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet we don’t have what we want because we don’t ask God for it. And even when we ask, we don’t get it because our motives are all wrong—we want only what will give you pleasure.

Assurance of Pardon

John 11:25
I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.

Genesis 1-3

This Sunday, Robert Greene will continue in our sermon series on Genesis 1-3.

‭1 Thessalonians 3:12-13
May the Lord make our love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows. May he, as a result, make our hearts strong, blameless, and holy as we stand before God our Father when our Lord Jesus comes again with all his holy people. Amen.
