Call to Worship

From Psalm 9
The Lord reigns forever, and rule the nations with fairness. The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Sing praises to the Lord who reigns in Jerusalem. Tell the world about his unforgettable deeds. The needy will not be ignored forever; the hopes of the poor will not always be crushed. Let us worship our just God.

From Psalm 10:12-14, 16-18
Generous, gracious, and merciful God, hear our prayer: Rise up, Lord! Do not forget the helpless. Why should the wicked scorn God and say in their hearts, “God does not care?” But you do see. You take note of misery and sorrow. You take the matter into your hands. The helpless put their trust in you. Lord, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them. The Lord is king forever.

Assurance of Pardon

Isaiah 61:10
I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness.

  • Lord, I Need You by Daniel Carson, Matt Maher, Christy Nockels, and Jesse Reeves.

1 Thessalonians

This Sunday, Robert Greene will conclude our sermon series on 1 Thessalonians. His text will be 1 Thessalonians 5:23-28.

‭2 Corinthians 12:9
God’s grace is all we need. His power works best in weakness. So we are glad to boast about our weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through us.
