Welcome to the Sunday morning rhythm of Redemption Hill Church. If this is your first time “joining” us, please let us know by filling out this online form.

Call to Worship

Psalm 5:11-12
But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy. For you bless the godly, O Lord; you surround them with your shield of love.

  • Come, Let Us Sing by Shelby T. Murphy.
  • Goodness of God by Ed Cash and Jenn Johnson.

Prayer of Confession

Lord, you showed us humility by becoming one of us, yet too often we practice pride. You loved the weak, the despised, and the rejected, yet too often we prioritize social status over compassion. You obeyed the will of the Father even if it meant suffering and sacrifice, yet too often we prioritize comfort over obedience. You were mocked, beaten, and killed for us, yet too often we deny you. You call us to be salt and light, yet too often we are content to blend into the culture. Forgive us, Lord, and conform us to your image. May we live as a people worthy of your calling. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon

Romans 10:9-11
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”

  • Build My Life by Brett Younker, Karl Martin, Kirby Kable, Pat Barrett, and Matt Redman. You can read more about this song here.

1 Thessalonians

This Sunday, Robert Greene will continue in our sermon series on 1 Thessalonians. His text will be 1 Thessalonians 4:1-12.

Benediction

‭Romans 10:13-15
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”
