Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy! For the LORD, the Most High, is to be feared, a great king over all the earth. God has gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet. Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm! – Psalm 47:1–2, 5-7
Partnering to Remember
This week, we are beginning our Partnering to Remember project for the book of Philippians. This project intends to bring Christians together for the deepening work of God’s Word in their lives as we commit to memorize the entire book over the next 13 weeks. To this end, we have created a customized PDF with a week-by-week outline for memorizing the book of Philippians that you can download by clicking here. If you are looking for some strategies for memorizing large chunks of scripture, be sure and check out Andrew Davis’ excellent article, An Approach to Extended Memorization of Scripture. Lastly, be sure and check out J. Alec Motyer’s The Message of Philippians as a terrific resource to read alongside our current series.
