Sunday Rhythm | September 25, 2022

Welcome to the Sunday morning rhythm of Redemption Hill Church. If this is your first time “joining” us, please let us know by filling out this online form.

Call to Worship

Proverbs 2:1-5
If you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.

Prayer of Confession

Luke 5:31–32
Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.

God of grace and truth. We confess it is all to easy for us to sacrifice convictions for convenience, standards for status, principles for promotion, and absolutes for ambition. We are easily seduced by power and prestige, by pleasures and possessions. From what the world offers, we turn to you unfulfilled, but seeking true satisfaction in you. Forgive our half-heartedness and our double-mindedness. Renew and refresh us through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon

Isaiah 43:1-3
But now thus says the LORD, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

1 Thessalonians

This Sunday, Robert Greene will continue in our sermon series on 1 Thessalonians. His text will be 1 Thessalonians 3:6-13.

Benediction

‭Psalm 37:3-6
Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.
