The End of The City

Redemption Hill’s long-time digital tool, The City, has officially been discontinued, and its last day will be this Thursday, February 28th. After that, you will no longer be able to log into The City.

This is something we have been planning towards for a while now, so hopefully this won’t come as a complete shock to many of you. Over the past number of months, we have been slowly transitioning to a new platform, Planning Center.

Planning Center is not new to Redemption Hill Church. We have been using it for a number of years for volunteer scheduling on Sunday morning, and will now simply be adopting more of its suite of apps for our purposes. We have already transitioned our internal databases over to Planning Center, as well our public event Registrations and Giving. We have also been testing out the newest app to Planning Center, the Groups app. This will allow various groups and communities across Redemption Hill to communicate with one another, and share and plan events. We will continue to share progress on its functionality as we go along.

While we will continue to make sure this transition is as painless as possible, there will inevitably be some hiccups along the way. Planning Center is different than The City, so there will be a learning curve in using it, which will simply take some time and patience. But we want to help! If you have any questions about using Planning Center moving forward, we have created a special email for all your questions.

In the meantime, we would encourage you to go through The City and save any documents, images, or conversations hat you wanted to before they disappear forever!
